Be kind but firm with your children. They need to know the rules, but they also need to know that they are loved by their parents no matter what. They don't need punishment, they need to learn how to handle situations appropriately. Why set up kids for failure so they can know failure? They will fail on their own, so set them up for success and keep the self esteem high, even when they fail. They will be able to handle failure better that way.

you don't need to change all the water, just do 25% when changing and unless your over feeding you shouldn't have to clean everything off. Sometimes it's over kill on feeding and water changing can make them sick. A betta can live in a mud hole. They are strong fish in other words. The thing with these are you don't know the age of the fish and some times they're just old. If he's building his nest and all seems fine then he probably is great. Make sure he don't have ick, white spots on him. I always turn power off and clean my filter then I do a water change of 25% or up to 50 if your water is really dirty. The Bacteria base is in the gravel and should be ok.

I been saving up to get a new fish. I got a 50 gallon tank and a filter. And I might buy a heater for the fish tanks. I already set everything out. ive seen this plant around multiple times as a child and i saw one the other day and am curious to know what it is. it had a white flower that of a poison hemlock but it doesnt have the leaves of it. it grows to be about 12 inches or more. and has little green stems that grow off of it.

My plant is one that i got from my sisters school, the science labs were having a clear out and i ended up with a tropical plant, it has a stem of about a centimeter thick and arrow shaped jagged leaves, on each of the serrated edges of the leaves it grows a seedling, probably about 50 seedlings on a bigger leaf. If you knock the plant slightly these seedlings fall off and as they already have two leaves and a few roots they start to grow bigger within days. How do I make a proper American style beef burger?

Excel Formula Help please!?

I am working on a spreadsheet for work and its is for billing purposes. I want to be able to have excel calculate the total minutes between start and stop times for appointments but is there a way it can only count 15 minute increments? For example- Start Time: 1:30 Stop Time: 2:30 which is 60 minutes in between. At my work, we bill "ONE UNIT PER 15 minutes" so that 60 minutes equals 3 units. BUT here is my dilemma, excel is counting the minutes in between the two times just fine but when i divide by 15 it does not round down it rounds up. We cannot bill that way, so even if an appointment time goes over a few minutes but doesn't hit a 15 minute increment, we do not count it as a unit. So what i am looking for is a formula that counts every 15 minutes between times OR a way to get the total of minutes in between to equal multiples of 15 minutes. Currently, I mix up all their stuff in a shotglass at night with a little water to thin it and syringe it to them in 1 mL increments once every ten minutes to avoid upsetting their stomachs, but it takes over an hour and is stressful for them. They would eat most of it on their own if I mixed it into their daily rations and just supervised to ensure the right cat got the right portion, but they eat tiny amounts many times a day and I don't know if it would be fridge stable. I just bought an Abelia. I planted it along a fence line. I would like it to grow as large as possible to add some privacy between me & the neighbor. Most Cory cats get too big for a ten gallon. Dwarf cory cats need 20 gallons or more, regular cory cats need 30 gallons or more. You could get a school of 6 pygmy cory cats but they are not really a bigginer fish. Most cories do better in soft water with a ph of 7.0 or lower. The only other fish that could go with them in a ten gallon is a betta.

Hi, I recently went to a very loud restaurant and later had some strong tingling inside my right ear, the ear was in pain the following day so I kept it sealed with cotton. Later I did a hearing test and was about 8" from the speaker at 25% volume, a tone going for 2 second increments at 15khz gave me a ringing in my other ear but the right ear couldn't hear it. Later on I felt a heavy numbness in my right ear, though I could hear normally out of it, the numbness has subsided significantly, but is still there. The Legend of Zelda handheld games easier now?

Starting from Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages. In all of those games, you swing your sword in 90 degrees increments (like to the right of you, to in front of you). Also, your weapon selection is nice and big. On the Minish Cap, you're able to swing you're sword in 180 degrees increments (to the right of you, all the way to the left) which makes the game easier, but the weapons selection is still pretty good. But now, with the DS games, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit tracks, you can just tap an enemy with the touch screen, and it automaticaly hits the enemy. And the weapon selection? It's terrible, pathetic even, on Zelda standards. But you're thinking: "Oh, well its the DS, they should implement touch screen controlls." In my opinion, not if it makes the game ridiculously easy, and ruins the Zelda experience. So, do you think Zelda handheld games have gotten easier? And if so, how?

it was the end of my highschool career, i had only been going to this new shcool for one year and i had always loved this one girl who was in atleast 4 of my classes. i never built up courage to talk to her and because i was new i had no one that knew her, as the end of the year approached i started feeling sad about never seeing her again so i decided to tell her how i felt at graduation. know that i have never actualy talked to this girl and i was just taking a lucky shot at telling her how i felt after the graduation alone. i told her she was beautiful and that it wouldnt feel right going into the real world with out conquroing something that made me nervous, she was flattered and thanked me and said i was real nice for saying such kind words to some one who could use them. i never expected anything to happen, simply because we barely knew each other and the fact were going to different colleges but i cant help but shake the fact that if i had the courage i had today to talk to her in the beggining of the year i would be with her right now and happy. i look back on it and i regret not doing so early. but all this taught me a GREAT lesson, i will NEVER put off talking to a chick whom i like/love, i feel like there is an empty spot in my heart but it was supose to happen for me to learn this lesson. i try to forget her but i always think about her and it makes me sick. i feel brave that i told her how i felt, and humbled but still hurt that i never got hte chance with her. is it ok to feel this way?

Anyone need help with NHL 11 Hockey Ultimate Team?

Well I have been playing NHL11 for a while and I have some experience with HUT so i can give you a few tips to get good players cheap (i'm telling you this because from your lines you don't seem to have many great players so i can help you if you need it, if not don't read any further). FIrst off, put all your players that you want to sell or are not using into your trade pile and put them up for trade at 1 day increments for the weekdays. Put them up for a reasonable price then put the buy now price at maybe 200 over that and 250 max (higher if the player is better). This will ensure that the person will most likely go for the buy now, 250 more pucks wont mean much to them but that adds up for you after a few players are sold. Second, don't buy any players or any packs till the weekend. The weekends are always that days that they make the jumbo packs (or some pack) a lot cheaper. For instance, there has been a pack out almost every weekend that has 3 rare cards (chance for 4th) for 2,500 pucks. That is almost the same amount of rare cards as the jumbo pack but the jumbo is 5,000 more and the only difference in the jumbo is one extra rare card. So wait for the weekend to buy packs, keep the rare cards (or any players you want in there) then delete the rest to get around 700-800 pucks of that back. Third, (this is where all of this comes together to answer your question) you need to put up your "search for card" settings at around 1,500 pucks or less for buy now maximum, if you scroll through many pages you will find very valuable players (full body cards, etc.) for a very low price, this is because many new cards came out because of those cheap packs (this makes a large inflation of the amount of that player out, bringing his value down more and more. Stamkos should be more than 10,000 pucks but there are so many of him out, I even have one lol). For example I specialize in training good defensive players I recently bought an Eric Johnson and a Dion Phaneuf for less than 2,000 pucks total. If you don't know, these are full body defensive players that i have now gotten to 99 defense and 98 checking on each (Phaneuf 91 overall, Eric Johnson 94 overall). So I now have 2 more full body defensemen and many others that i have not named. This will help you find better players faster, as for who to pick, I don't want this to sound mean, but that is entirely up to you. To me all players are the same under this. After all its only a video game, but it helps to know what you are doing. For instance if you have an eric Staal and a sidney crosby at 99 to pick from, most people would pick sidney crosby because he is more popular and worth a lot, but because he is worth more is the only reason why, I would chose the Eric Staal because, like i said, its only a game and a 99 overall player plays the same as any other 99 overall player (btw the overall doesn't count much, I have seen lots of players at 99 that have training levels 99 off-95 def -99 hnd-90 chk-89 def, which obviously is not averaged at 99.). Go with players on the same team, that is the only strong advantage. Players on the same team work better together, take better passes, do better plays and make better shots. You don't necessarily need EVERY player on your team the same, just lines. For instance i used that technique a lot and i would verse my friend, who has a lot of 99 players but not many on the same team, and i would beat him, often at high goal amounts like 5-1 or 6-2 games, with offense: Alex Frolov, Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown, Defense: M. Greene and J. Johnson, and Jonathan Quick as goalie, then a New jersey line, my tampa bay lightning line, and my Carolina Hurricanes line. This is because the chemistry was at 99 on every line, so find players that work well together. Hope this helps any readers. Trying to create a growth loop in java?

In java, I'm completing a class for a game that creates circles and makes them grow at a certain rate until they reach their maximum radius and pop, unless the user clicks on the circle to pop it themselves. the rest of the program is written, however the class i need to write is the one which creates the circles and defines the growth amount. I have gotten through creating circle based on given points and radii, with a grow method that states the current radius becomes the starting radius + growth amount. however, I can't figure out how to loop the circle back to the grow method IF the current radius hasn't reached its given pop radius. I was required to create a boolean method that answers the question "has the circle popped?". Do i need to create a loop within this method or declare it somewhere else? how do i return to the grow method if it hasn't popped? I'm not sure about the actual time increments, I can play with that after i get the program running, i just need to get the growth function working (i can start using an increment of 1000ms).

I am a disabled Veteran with a service dog. I bought my home in a specific community because they advertised an amenity for dogs to run and play (legal reasons I have to phrase it that way). After the first year in this new development I began to ask how long it would be to have this amenity built. I got a location from a member of the development team. I checked the site plan, there was no mention of this amenity of the site plan. I was furious. I was now almost 3 yrs behind in applying for my successor service dog because you have to have a place for the dog to exercise - this is a requirement for most reputable organizations that train service dogs. The county repeatedly told me they had never seen a plan including a dog park in my community. So I thought this was clearly fraud. 2 weeks before court, the county changes its story and says that there is an amenity but it's in a different location than what I was told. The location was next to the soccer field. Interestly enough the site plan clearly shows the soccer field but does not show the amenity for dogs. I then spoke with the utilities company that controlled the transmission lines. The rep told me that he had worked on this community from the beginning and had never heard of this amenity. He said that the developer would've had to get permission to build anything through the tranamission lines. My attorney said we couldn't move forward and that I should settle. This was a couple years ago. I got word 2 days ago that the amenity had been built. I went to check it out. It is a fence around air on top of grass. There are no trees to shade the dogs, there are no benches for owners to sit at, there are no water bowls. There is simply a fence. I asked if they were going to install trees and was told they can't because of the overhead power lines. I think they lied, I think some county rep helped them lie. There's no way they would've planned to build this amenity where dogs can exercise without trees for shade and without the ability to ever have trees planted. I believe they scrambled and did this because if it wasn't on the site plan it would've clearly been deem fraud, so I think they did some underhanded revamping of the site plan and just stuck the fence up and said 'there you go.' I need gardening help. Like a lot.?

So, im starting a garden close to my condo, right up against the wall actually. It's shady around there for most of the day. I have never gardened before so I need a lot of help. But I'm getting paid, so. Anyways I don't know much about gardening but I look at this patch and it needs a lot of help. I don't want any egetables, and I want lots of colors, and only annuals. The dirt looks awful. So how do I make that better? I know I gotta get rid of all the weeds first, and theres also a shrub just awkwardly there in the middle of the spot. Do i have to get rid of it, or can i just plant around it? Basically I need help with everything step by step. Like how to make the dirt better, what types of flowers are best, what type of soil to use, how to use mulch, basically tell me everything you know. Act like you're teaching a 8 year old because I really know nothing about flowers or gardening.

My tomatoes aren't growing.?

I have a fairly large tomato plant and 4 other smaller ones. The large one has had flowers for about 3 weeks, but they never grew tomatoes. Some are now getting to the point where the whole flower and green leaves at their base are just falling off leaving nothing but a nub where the flower once was. Any suggestions on what I could try, I keep them in a fairly sunny area and well watered. They are baby tomatoes if that makes a difference. Thanks

I have a Berta. We are going to europe for a month. I was going to drop it off at a friends house, but my mom never took the time to take me there. My moms friend will come once every five days to water the plants. She will also feed my fish. The fish is in a 5 gallon tank, which is totally clean except for poop and small plant bits. The water is all new, but it appears murky. The lady will come when she can to feed my fish as well. (she lives like 5 mins away. Again, I will be gone for 1 month. Will my fish survive?

there's this pakistani guy i used to work with for about 7 months..we used to sit together in the same room, we were pretty close..we used to laugh together, make jokes, etc..even after we separated into different teams, we would hangout sometimes..go for coffee, walks, etc..but I have to tell u he was mean and rude at times..even though he used to "joke" with me..he used to jokingly call me "b****" (so many times), call me low level, make fun of indians, say im worth a trash can, make fun of south indians(which is what i am) and say they are dirty, degrade me,asked me to BUY him food, cigs, etc... But i liked him much that I tolerated all that...and I never scolded him or told him off..i was always humble to him...But he did like me he told me that..and as I said we used to hang out and were close than he was to any1 else in the company... last month he was terminated from the job...the last day he left he did not even hug me or shake my hand (can you believe that)..and didnt even take my email to keep in touch..i just cant believe this?? As i said we were close and had good memories and laughs and im struggling so hard to forget that and him..he even told me I was a good friend and all..I can understand that he follows his culture closely and maybe he doesn't want to keep relation with girls hes not gonna marry but at least he can Mail me as a friend right? To find out how i am , what i am doing etc?..I dont expect him to keep a relation with me..but at least say Hi...and now its been 2 months...Today I found out he left the state and moved to another state... Is there a way to fix the opportunity glitches in Bridgeport in Sims 3?

There are opportunities where your sims have to go to certain places like a bookstore but the building is the one in Sunset Valley and is replaced by a different building in Bridgeport. I've tried putting the same buildings in Bridgeport but it never recognized them for the opportunity. Is there a way to fix it or does the patch fix it? I haven't installed any patches yet for sims 3. I gave up trying to do those ones but now I have an opportunity for the omni plant and I don't want to lose it if I can fix it.

Is this poison ivy or poison oak?!!?

Ok so I took my dog on a walk the other day and we went behind an old abondoned building and there were some weird plants back there. I didn't see any poisonous plants but then again I wasn't wearing my glasses (oops)... So I went home and a few hour later I was watching tv and my ankle started itching like crazy so I was scratching it and not really paying attention. The next day my ankle was still itchy as heck so I looked at it closer and found five or six red bumps that looked kinda like mosquito bites but were a little redder. I put calamine lotion on it and it felt a little better but not completely. It's still killing me right now and I don't know the difference between a poison ivy rash or a poison oak rash!! I've never had either and google wasn't clarifying anything! Which is it because if it's one of them I can put this stuff on it to make it stop itching but if it's the other and I put it on the rash it could have bad side effects.. HELP ME ITS SO ITCHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

Okay I'm majoring in veterinarian. I love animals and I really want to help them. I'm sure that I want to be a veterinarian. I go to a community college that rips me off. They made me take classes that I don't need for my major such as P.E, SDV, and Bio-Medical Ethics. Well maybe Ethics is kind of important but anyways some teachers and advisers are surprise that I want to be a vet because I don't like math and science very much. They think I'm stupid and can't do it. Math is not really my biggest problem but science is. My BIO 102 professor is surprise that I want to be a vet because I suck at Biology. The thing is that I don't do well because they are making me learn more about humans than animals. So why would that be a surprise? I'm going to treat domestic animals, not plant, not reptiles, and not humans. I know that a lot of the human body functions almost the same as animals but not in all animals. They have their differences. I don't want to know about the differences. I want to learn about the animal anatomy, about how to do treatments, and medical studies ONLY related to animals. So tell me something that I don't know. Why do I need to do biology if they are only teaching me about human, insects, and other weird species? Its a waste of time and money in my opinion. I'm transferring to Virginia Tech and hopefully they'll teach me something interesting and useful.

Would a -1.5 or -2.0 lens in a scuba mask lens work for me if my glasses are -1.75?

I am going to learn to scuba dive but I can't wear glasses and my eyes are not right for contacts. I have been looking at optical lens for scuba masks but they only come in .5 increments. My company deducted Rs.4317 as TDS from my April months salary.I have joined this firm on 2009 june with a salary of Rs.17000 per month.There is no PF or any medical allowance in this company,but they deducted Rs.200 per month as professional tax also there is no salary account,every month my savings account with HDFC Bank shows as fund transfer from my branch.I got a salary increment of Rs.3000 in 2010 september and now my salary is Rs.20000 also the company gives me a daily allowance of Rs.175 per day and travelling expenses.But now the problem is that they have deducted Rs.4317 from my april 2011 salary as TDS.Is that a right amount if it is so,whether i get any reimbursement?I only have a mediclaim policy,and its premium is Rs.2300 per annum.Looking forward for a kind replay,Thank You.
